An old friend once told me with a sense of boredom,' there is nothing new to be created in art. The artists of the past have already created everything. And there is nothing new to be achieved.' I disagree with this line of thought. Repetition is a guide to greater and newer discoveries. An artist subtracts from his academic knowledge and adds to his creative venture to bring forth a culmination of results that can influence generations. And as the cycle continues his 'new discoveries' will become the repetitive guide for the next generation.
